This rustic serving platter was handmade in Dumfries using locally grown Pippy Oak by woodworker Mike Dixon.
This is a one-off piece; there’ll never be another one quite like it!
The platter features a good-sized rounded handle with a large hole which can be used to hang it from the wall. Pippy oak gets its name from clusters of small knots from twigs on the trunk of the tree. This board featues several clusters on both faces.
It’s the perfect size for serving cheeses, salads or meats and can even be used as a plate for snacks and nibbles!
Dimensions (W x L x H) – 19cm x 49cm x 2.5cm approx (including 10cm long handle)
Care for your handmade serving platter –
Caring for your handmade serving platter couldn’t be simpler – just wipe it clean with a damp cloth after each use. You can keep the wood fresh by rubbing it with olive oil every few months.
