This rustic serving platter was handmade in Dumfries using locally grown Olive Ash by woodworker Mike Dixon.
This is a one-off piece; there’ll never be another one quite like it!
The platter features a good-sized rounded handle with a large hole which can be used to hang it from the wall.
It’s the perfect size for serving cheeses, salads or meats and can even be used as a plate for snacks and nibbles!
Olive Ash is the name given to pieces of Ash that features darker, more streaked grain than normal. As the name suggests, it can often be mistaken for olive wood, with its swirling, almost milky colouring.
Dimensions (W x L x H) – 13cm x 38cm x 2.5cm approx (including 8cm long handle)
Care for your handmade serving platter –
Caring for your handmade serving platter couldn’t be simpler – just wipe it clean with a damp cloth after each use. You can keep the wood fresh by rubbing it with olive oil every few months.
